Default Any need for a tuner?

2011 Ultra Limited .Just got a head pipe cat gutted.Putting on supertrap stout pipes.Stock air cleaner.
Asked supertrap if I need a tuner. They said no as long as my o2 sensors are properly working.

Take a trip over to niterider.com Some good reading on this issue there. If you do get a tuner, give Fuel Moto a call, they know their stuff on this.
Just my $.02

You don't NEED a tuner, but with the right tuner and someone who knows how to use it, you will get a little more perfomance and a cooler running motor.

As I understand it (and I am no mechanic) you can install free flowing pipes, OR, free flowing breather without a tuner, or chip remap. If breather AND pipes are upgraded then tuner or remap is required.

No tuner needed, it will run just as LEAN as before.

I understand why things need to be adjusted with a breather and new exhaust, but can someone tell this newbie the difference between a tuner and remapping?
