Default Bike Lurches when strarted in gear, what to do?

My '08 Ultra Classic wants to surge/lurch forward if I have the bike in gear and the clutch lever pulled. Doesn't seem quite right to me. What are the usual suspects? I made an attempt to adjust the clutch, following the directions that I've found on line. It isn't any worse than when I started but it's not better.

How should I adjust the typical steps for adjustment to get the bike to not lurch when starting in gear?

They do that when they're cold.

You're dragging the clutch plates against each other.

There is no adjustment out of it.

Stop unnecessary wear and tear and start it in neutral from now on.

Cold or hot when starting? If cold it's normal.

I've not warm started it since the adjustment. It's windy/chilly riding today. I drained the primary and filled back with Mobil 1 Racing 4T 10W-40. Finding Neutral seems a wee easier. I may leather up and go for a short ride and see how the starting is.

Start it in neutral like it was meant to be.

I start in Neutral. Less wear and tear on clutch and starter. Safer also.

Don't start it in gear.

is this a trick question? Stop starting it in gear.
