Default WTF! Brand New 2012 Ultra need to open fairing - Recommendations

Just took delivery of 2012 Ultra Limited. I was reading thru Owners Guide this AM and pushed the function button for Odometer on Fairing...the button fell in to inside of fairing!!! #@&^&!!!

1 - Being its a BRAND NEW bike I'm still hyper sensitive to flaws...how difficult is it for dealer to take off fairing, fix button, put back together and have it fit like new again?

2 - Since its going to be opened anyways...is there any recommneded changes I should make while its open?

I'm taking a deep breath...
Steve

Consider replacing the air temp guage with an oil temp guage.

Add a different headlight or passing lights if you want.

Oil temp is only useful if you do a lot of parade riding or have engine mods that could heat your bike up.

  1. Disconnect ALL connectors, apply dielectric paste, and reconnect.
  2. Replace the air temp gauge to an oil temp gauge is a good idea.

Change out the stock speakers to the Boom Audio speakers best $150 you will spend and takes about 10 minutes a speaker to do it yourself.
