Default good coffee cup for HD saddlebag guard

just like the title states... Odd ball size of the HD saddlebag guard cupholder makes it hard to find a good insulated cup so I can drink my coffee at 65 instead of standing in a parkinlot. Anybody find one that fits and works good? I prefer the screw on type lids rather than push on because i envision giving my beautiful black bike a coffee bath at 65. (dont think its gonna help paint...although bit of caffeine might make it run like my okl vrod LOL) Thanks guys

Not sure about insulated, but I went with a stainless steel sports bottle with a screw-on top for use in the cupholder you speak of (the top has a pop-up sipper for easy use with one hand).

Also, I quickly noticed that at 70 mph the cup holder on the saddle bag guard pouch would buckle from the wind speed, making re-insertion of the drinking bottle very difficult. So I went with the stainless bottle as I said above but also reinforced the pouch by cutting down the plastic H-D bottle the pouch comes with and using it as a liner inside the pouch to keep it rigid enough to easily slip the bottle back into place on the fly.

Try looking at bicycle sport bottles, see if perhaps they have insulated types. Those sport bottles are thin enough to fit in your pouch and have a secure top.

Just an idea...

Stop in a Starbucks, they have a good selection and usually better quality.

just change the guard bags to a larger style- mine are the old "box" style which will hold my thermo coffee cup and a bottle of water ( the other side has 2 water bottles - I live in the desert).

The style bag you have is sleeker, better looking, but less functional- get a bigger bag, hold a bigger tankard

or look into the bar, crashbar or glove box door mounted holders

A buddy of mine uses some stainless steel insulated travel mugs he bought at Walgreen's, if I remember right.
