Old thread, but good topic. I use the Klean Kanteen insulated water bottle for water on one side. On the other side I found you can't beat Stanley's Classic Trigger-Action Travel Mug, stainless steel vacuum insulated with a good leakproof trigger action, push button lid that actually seals.

Hopefully the OP has found a coffee container that works for him by now LOL. For those that are still looking, here is what I use. Keeps hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold for hours. It has a flip top that is easy to open with one hand so I can keep my right hand on the throttle while taking a drink. Not very good pictures. It is an 18 ounce. They make a bigger one but it sticks up to high for my taste.

The contigo Byron snap seal works great with the guard bag, and also works well with a Ciro basket cup holder. I have been using 2 24oz ones for about 2 years and they work great. One for coffee and one for ice water. The water in the guard bag, and the coffee in the perch mount ciro. I also have a smaller 16 oz I use for coffee when not on long trips.

We use Stanley Stainless with a button flip top. It's insulated, 12 hour cold rated, one hand operation.
Don't want a bunch of fumbling around just to get a drink.
And never never never starbucks.
