Default Road glide with a burned out headlight bulb.

Just noticed i have a burned out headlight bulb. What do you gotta remove to fix it? Also are they super bright white bulbs for $14 each on ebay any better than the $2 ones? By better i mean brighter lol

I think for the 04's you have to remove the fairing.

Might just as well replace them both while you are in there....
I'm running a set of PIAA GT-X Super Plasma bulbs.... these supposedly
have an anti-vibration filament to help prolong the life span.

We'll see how they work out.... put them in a year ago ( 12k miles )

You will have to remove the fairing to get to the bulbs. You could change to the current set up which allows you to get to the bulbs with out pulling the fairing while you have it apart. I am using silver stars currently, but also looked into the PIAA ones and would like to know if they do indeed last longer with the "anti-vibration filament"

Remove the faring, change the bulbs, and forget about it. Not likely to burn out another one.

I would change both at the same time! For sure.
I have the silverstar ultras, a few buck more, but I have a truer light and they spread a wider beam so I can see more of the road.
worth it imo.

One thing they don't show but which I highly recommend doing is to protect the front fender. I use an old blanket.
