Default Dr. Dyno

On my trip to TN/NC last weekend, my gas mileage was anywhere from 30 to 37.5 mpg.
Used a canned map and tried adjusting the cruise range.....just didn't seem to improve much.
Prior to the cam install, was getting 42 mpg on a trip like this.

Anyway, called Dr. Dyno the other night and made an appointment for this morning.
Not sure what I'll be getting for gas mileage, he said I should be getting low 40's for mpg again. But on the 35 mile trip back home the bike sure did run and sound better. (I thought the bike ran good before, except for the gas milage)

Hammerhead. Keep us updated on your results. I have wondered for a long time if a dyno would benefit my SG. Where is Dr Dyno located. Went to his website and couldn't find out. Been working all day and tired, may have missed it. Also, whats the cost of a dyno? I know it can very.

He's located in Pawcatuck Connecticut.

I should post some mpg numbers by next weekend.

My bike was on the Dyno about 2 1/2 hrs.....he charged me 250 (quoted me 3-400 on the phone)

Ask about a couple different tuners in your area. Just post the question in a couple forums, then talk to the tuner, tell him your concerns. I searched dyno tuners in my area, on google and the forums.....I did talk to a HD dealer or two, but quickly decided not to use HD for this.

Fred is a cool guy.He installed a PCV5 and dynoed our bike last year, and what a difference that made.

I plan on having him re dyno it when I get a few more miles on it.He said once they break in,he can usually get a couple more ft lbs out of it.

Could you post your HP and torque results along with your MPG'S. I haven't been on the forum long enough to view attachments.

I have an appointment at my local dealer for this week. I have the same set up as yours but with a carb. 2002 w/88 cu and 56k miles Andrews 21 cams, SE air cleaner w/ K&N air filter, fulsac true duals w/ B&E superflows 2" baffles. I just finished doing all this work and have no idea what to expect with the results. It runs really well with a lot more low end torque. I'm hoping the dyno will get the MPG's back in the 40's.

Thanks

I have an 02 RK TC88 (delphi), SE ac, 21n cams, TD's, & pc3
I've been saving for a TTC master tune and getting a dyno next week (hopefully)
Sounds like our bikes are close, I'll post the before/after tune.
I've been running with a map from FM and it runs good but I know it can do better.
Glad to hear your bike is running better with the tune!
