I'm going to remove my tour pack from my Ultra Classic and have read all the threads on fitting the Deutsch connectors so that the lights can be disconnected.

I was weighing the job up and noticed that I already have these plugs fitted, one on each side.



There's nothing for the antenna or CB which as far as I can see will roll up under the seat so my question is, am I halfway there already and can I just unbolt the tour pack and go or are these plugs something else and I've had a brain fart?

 

The antenna and cb cabels shouldnt have a disconnect like that or they wouldn't work very well so I think you are correct.

I took the tourpak off my 07 Ultra and made in quick detach. I did use the antenna mount that came with the kit. All the other cables/wiring easily tucked under the seat.

 

removing the tour pak is common, many use the H-D detachable kit.

a bolt/on, bolt off method is pretty easy too, take 30 minutes for the conversion...

but for the wiring.

I relocated my antenna with the kit in the detach kit, mounting off the inner saddlebag rail is fairly easy.

for the lighting, I did my own custom harness from the seat back as I wanted to add some things.

It's pretty straight forward once you look at it all.

That looks like the plug thats normally up inside the speaker pod.. The purpose of another deustch connector closer to the battery is to eliminate about 18 to 24 inch of wire to each speaker.. Less wire to deal with and curl up under the seat when tour pak is off.

It looks like the plugs are pretty close to the seat so I think I am good to go.

I'll give it a try and see what happens. For the amount of time that I actually need the tour pack, I'll just unbolt it and forgo the quick disconnect pack.

Time for a new seat.

 

I left mine stock, just unplug everything and roll it up under the seat. I did reroute the antenna wire to a bracket mounted behind the left saddle bag.

 

Hey EnglishAdam, what year model is your Scoot. I put the detach kit on my 09 Ultra. On mine, you have to unplug the speakers at the speaker, and pull the antenna wires through the grommets, and unplug the brakelights under the tourpak liner. If their is an easier way I would love to know about it.
