That is their new Elite series that is poly. It has a higher price tag. Until a month ago LRS's shields were impact resistant acrylic. Most of LRS's product still is impact resistant acrylic. P51 would be right if LRS shields were regular acrylic, which they are not.

Bought an LRS shield a while back - perfectly happy with it (after I sent the wrong part back and got the correct one - their mistake). I cannot say that LRS is the easiest most consistent web presence to navigate and understand.

For example, when I get offered a discount, unless it clearly states that it only applies to certain products I would expect it to apply to all. However this seems not to be the case. I'd consider buying one of their Lexan shields but no discount. It's all very confusing.

Having said all of that they seem honest and a stand-up company. I think the OP is being rather harsh - and clearly pissed-off. My suggestion . . get over it.

Davessworks, I dont suspect the OP could possibly be upset over $10 after the passing of nearly 6 months since starting the thread. If he is maybe we can take up a collection and give the dude $10. Ive spent more on less unfortunately.

Darn - hate it when that happens. You think the thread is recent only to find out the original topic is stale.

It's ok, I just found this one again too. : ) Thank you for all your good comments guys. We aim to give everyone the best service possible. You are correct on the Elite. It is the only polycarbonate we have right now. The rest are "Impact Modified" acrylic. I can promise you that it WILL NOT shatter into pieces. We use our shield on our personal bikes and trust them !00%. We are in the process of Revamping our website to make it easier to navigate as well. It's just taking a lot of work, but should be up soon!!
