Default Same thing happen to me.

I know what you mean about ordering from LRS web page. I place my order Wed 18th and one of there pages stated the Ultra shield was on sale for $79.99 but when you checked out it raised the price to 89.99. At lease they did give the 30 percent discount. My tracking number states I will receive my shield on Sat the 21. Fast shipping. Can't wait to get it install. With there discount it was still a good price for a flip shield.

They did step up and offer the price before the increase but not until after Garemlin called and told them about this thread. The original response was to hide the thread made on facebook and ignore it. All I am saying is it could have been handled differently upfront.

OK, I don't usually add my two cents to posts like this, but this one warrants some consideration. ElectraEd, we see that you are kinda new around here, and we welcome you - great to have you on the forum. But because you're new, with a post count of 168, perhaps you don't know the folks at LRS like we do. They are stand-up guys and they have gained a reputation of respect from us.

I can't imagine that they were trying to dupe you on the price. It's a shame that Garemlin had to do your work for you. I have found that email, Facebook, and Twitter posts are prone to mistakes and misinterpretation, so when I have a problem with a vendor, before I blast them on the internet I give them a call and most of the time the problem is resolved immediately. Perhaps that would have been a good route for you to take. Instead, we're on the third page of a post that could have been avoided altogether, and LRS's great reputation is taking a hit.

Just saying'... I'm not trying to be offensive. But this forum, when done right, forms a pretty tight community and you will find our sponsors to be great members as well.

I agree that it could have been handled better. But what is done is done. Hopefully they learn from this.

But when talking to them the reason that the post on FB was deleted is because they want to keep issues off of there and get handled one on one by phone or e-mail. Matt did say he tried to contact you via FB. But as we all know sometimes messages, texts, e-mails, etc get lost on the way. Just looking at it from the other side.

They were probably too busy trying to kill all the lower price orders w/30% off flooding their system...I'd say LRS took care of the problem fairly & you can't expect a "personal" response every time there's a glitch...

If you look, I have been on here 1.5 years longer than you have. I spend more of my time riding rather than posting.

I purchased a sheild from them and had great service and I love the sheild. I then bought the matching wings and I'm a happy rider. Had two good experiences out of two. I'd deal with them again. I've had 2 bikes and 5 sheilds. This one is the best. When I trade bikes, I'll get another LongRide Sheild.

Whatever.

I've tried several of the shields out there, and I keep coming back to LRS, and I don't care what the price-of-the-day is. Their shields give me the best performance of any I've bought, and that's enough for me. If the price fluctuates a few bucks either way, it's trivial, far as I'm concerned.

10" XStream - crazy vibration at idle
9" Stealth - crazy vibration/brutal noise at highway speed
Easily sold both for what I paid...go figure.
$25 Cee Bailey 7" light smoke below - no vibration or distortion!

Great apples to peaches comparision. Stands to reason the taller the shield the more susceptible to vibration. Just saying . . .
