Love the OEM Monkey bars on a RG, but I'd have to have 12's at a minimum, the 14's would look killer.

Never say never, brother. Glad you're enjoying your new scoot, though.

My 14" Outlawz are making the trek from CA to GA right now.....good luck on your choice FM. I saw the post about a traditional style bar not taking away from the look of the bike, but I almost think with the lines of the scallops in the CVO paint, the LA Choppers primeapes would be sweet...

I went the the dealership and found a set of Heritage bars that were pull offs from some customer. So being the guy i am i took thoses, went home replaced my factory with them.... guess they are really more like a mini-ape. But the cost to do everything was only the gas used to go get them....

Heritage bars are not apes, they're too low, the wrist angle is horrendous, and those bars are way too narrow for me.

If they made taller PrimeApes there would be nothing to discuss......

If you go with Carlinis you wont be disappointed. And yes the 1.5" thick bars are worth the additional cost.

Default 12" Chubby Outlawz Apes

I just ordered these for my 2013 RGU. Just traded my 2003 Ultra for the RG. Can't wait to have some bars that fit me on this new ride. Interested in any feedback on the Chubbys.
