I used the three hole ebay kit, set in the middle hole (2") with eglide shocks ( for the extra travel) any more than an inch lower than stock and the shocks rub the bag and the tire will hit inside the fender riding solo.

Wanna go low. Get air ride!

I was looking to do something similar. Which eBay kit did you use?

Wouldn't a shorter set of shocks be the best bet? Or an air ride?

Money is a little tight right now. I've already had the seat done. Hopefully this lowering block will complete the fit.

Be careful that there is clearance between the fender and wheel or you will tear out the tail light wiring when you bottom

You need to drop the front forks, your rear shocks are already an inch shorter then the other touring bikes....

If you want to properly lower your SG, you need to use shorter shocks. Phoenix Customs (Bitchin Baggers) can modifiy your stock shocks to get the height you want and you still retain your air-adjustable suspension. Blocks may be the cheap way to get it lower, but it may end up costing you more in the long run.

I have the 11" Bitchin Bagger Drop Shocks .
They are the stock HD air shocks cut down ,they don't change the angle of the shock and there is a stop in the shock so you never need to worrie about bottoming out on the fender tearing up the wiring harnes .

They are stiffer ride but bike handles better in sweeping curves.

Also after you lower the bike it seems to stand up to straight on the kickstand .
Drag Specialtys makes a WEDGE thingy kit that changes the angle of the kickstand so the bike leans over a bit more on the kickstand.
I bought mine from DennisKirk.
Also you can raise the floor boards up to the next set of mounting holes to help prevent scraping.

Is the OP doing this cause it looks cool or because there short?

If it's because your short you might consider Also having MeanCity Cycle lower and narrow your seat THRIFTY. add memory foam for comfort.

Also a good MOD for short guys is HDs kickstand exstention , makes it a lot easyer to get up and down $30.
