Default Seat that helps tail bone pain?

Anyone have a suggestion on a seat that helps with tail bone pain? I have a 2012 ultra classic with a stock seat. After about an hour my tail bone gets sore. I had a mustang seat on my 06 and I could ride a couple hours before I got sore with that one. I've thought about a road zeppelin but don't know if I want to be too much higher in the saddle. Any thoughts out there? Thanks

From what i hear the ZEP will sit you a bit higher....I would try the Hammock seat or Sundowner. Check your dealer to see if they have a fit shop horse in the store... If they have either one of these seats have them put it on the horse and sit on it for about 20 mminutes....should give you a decent idea...

Mean City Cycles can relieve that area of the seat that is a problem for you, plus memory foam, makes for a pretty good seat.

Mean City is an inexpensive option to a totally new seat. We've had 5 seats done there. I've always been very happy with the results.

same deal with me, i went to the sun downer and never again did the tail bone have pain. just get a seat that has the tail bone open or modify your old seat.

I must have a very sensitive tail bone.
I’ve tried several seats over the past 5 years and I’ve tried 3 different seat gurus
and this new HD Hammock seat is the only one that ever seemed to stop the Tail Bone pain riding all day long.

I bought it because I have degenerative disks back problems and need some cushion also for my back.

The Mean City mod sounds good, and I've heard some good things about the Saddlemen Explorer seats, but they, too, are pricey. They make it so the bottom and back of the seat flex separately, thus relieving tailbone pain.
