Went back for my first follow-up today after my spinal surgery 2 weeks ago. Doc says I am healing well and strength is good. So I had to ask about riding. He said I am fine to ride once I am comfortable, have good range of motion and it doesn't cause me any pain. Got my permission slip!!!
But in all honesty I know I am not ready with the limited range of motion in my neck. We all know that cagers don't see us. I need to be able to see them. All of them in any direction. Gonna give it a week or two more and maybe take a short, slow ride around the block and see how I do.
Awesome, that is good news. Make sure you are ready to ride. Try getting on and off the bike to see how comfortable that is. Congrats on your recovery and your new parts! I tell people I am a member of the AARP, Aging Americans with Replacement Parts.

Haha!!! I like that. I'm sure I will be a member in good standing.
The bad thing about those Street Glides is that every time you walk by they try to get your attention to go do something you shouldn't do. They can be very persuasive! Congrats on the good news and heal fast!
Awesome news! Glad to hear you're recovering well and that you've been cleared to ride. And kudos for being patient enough to know that even though the doc cleared you, you personally ain't there yet.
Speedy recovery to you, and we'll see you on the road soon enough!
