Default Noisy valve train

I have a 05 FLHT and it has allot of valve train noise. I know the push rods are solid and was wondering that maybe there is too much clearance which accounts for the noise. Would replacing the push rods with adjustable rods properly adjusted quite the noise or is there something else that can be done. Every once in a while it seems the a lifter may stick.

How many miles? It's been said, (and it seems like I'm saying it a lot lately) on this forum that many a valve train noise when away after adjusting the primary chain...

Mac makes a good point here. Are you sure that the noise is coming from the valve train and not elsewhere. Harleys are noisy motors also. If you have solid pushrods in your motor as you say ,you'd be the first, this could be why it is so noisy No oil to the upper end!

On my 01 Ultra; the motor gradually made more noise. The first place I looked was the primary chain, but it ended up that one of the cam tensioner bushings had worn through. About 22,000 miles.
