I'm not saying anything about the quality of a K&N filter but a buddy of mine had one on his race car and the oil filter split during a race. K&N paid for a race engine rebuild no questions asked other than to send them the filter and they didn't wait to cut the check. A lot can be said for that level of customer service.

It's made overseas if that is a deal breaker for you. K&P is made here, I have neither.

I'm not a fan by any means of fram filters, on my old small block mopars when I'd use a fram and let it sit a couple of days they would crank then tick like crazy for about 30 to 45 seconds till the lifters build up, they did have stout valve springs in them and hotter cams. A buddy at the drag strip told me his had did the same thing when using a fram so he switched to a Wix filter and the problem never came back, my dad worked for wix so of course I had him get me a few and just as my buddy said the ticking at crank up after sitting for days was gone. I later learned that the frams were bad to leak down so the oil pump had to fill the filter up before it could get to the lifters and with the heavy springs that caused the ticking on start up so I don't use any fram oil filters anymore...sometimes you just get what you pay for.

I should have thought twice aout putting this up, If Harley sees this my OEM Black Harley filter will be $20.00 instead of the $8.95
