Default No tour pack on SG / what R U using for storage

So what do you use for added storage on long haul trips? Not only the bag but what type of luggage rack works well?

Pictures of setups would be good. I just want a little extra place for mine and my wifes jackets and such when it starts out cool riding and gets really hot in the afternoons.

I have a passenger back rest, with the T-Bag Lonestar with top roll and net, that sits on a luggage rack. I scored the 54219 on EBay for 139 and the Lonestar for 230. The only thing remaining for long trips is going to be a LRS 7 or 8" Ultra. I have also installed the Saddlemen lid organizers which really helped clean up the bags.

I was a little hesitant on the Lonestar but after getting it I see enough room for a 10 day ride without halving to do laundry. They use a great system to secure the bag and it looks like once it is installed and cinched down it isn't going anywhere. Plua is has a built in rain cover.

Kuryakyn Ultra tour bag is all my wife and I us. More than enough room for 4 days worth of clean clothes and a spare pair of shoes each.

Used the HD passenger backrest luggage rack with this Leatherup bag http://www.leatherup.com/p/Travel-Ba...ack/50599.html Used just the round bag for day trips. Used both on week long trips with the wife. Finally found a good used chopped tour pak and made a detach rack for it.

I have a Stealth luggage rack and use a Kuryakyn Ultra Tour Bag and if I find I need more room that that I add my Daily Tour Bag.

I have read that a couple of people did not buy the regular racks, but instead purchased the detachable tourpack mount since it is flat. Supposedly this makes a better platform for the bags.

Typically I have enough room for the wife and i to pack plenty for a week.

Best piece of motorcycle luggage I've owned. And if that's not enough, put a duffle bag on top with a bungee net.

Don't know what year FLHX you've got but any of the Harley racks are good. You may find the Stealth rack too small but the full-sized racks are good. Go with quick detach if you don't like the looks of a rack when not touring.

If riding solo, no rack needed. Put the bag on the passenger seat and lean against it.

Another vote for the Kuryakyn ultra tour bag. Holds more than enough for several days.
