Default Road King Vibration

I have made no changes in my 06 RKC in a while, but I noticed that I have a vibration that starts at 68mph and continues until I drop below 68 mph. It is not a severe vibration but it is annoying. The bike has about 7000 miles. Any clues?
Thanks,
MAAIII

I had a similar problem a couple of months ago, and it really had me stumped. Then a friend suggested that my tires might be out of balance. I asked my dealer to check it out, and he made some changes to the balancing weights - that seems to have resolved the problem. I wonder if you might be experiencing the same thing...

I have noticed a similar vibration on my 05 RKC. Do you have highway pegs ? Mine stick out and act like wings at higher speed. Put my feet on them and the vibration goes away

I was figuring it was a wheel balance problem but I never even thought about the highway pegs, that was one recent change that I did make but completely overlooked. I will definately try the advice on the highway pegs. Thanks to both of you, Pastor John and Rkcjim.

Well, I just took it for a ride and it does seem to be the highway pegs. I would have never guessed. Thank you.
What a great web site!
