Dyno numbers after cam swap
Got my Ultra back from dyno tune yesterday. Swapped out stock cams for SE255's, replaced the header with V&H Power Duals and put on a set of Monster Rounds. The before numbers were 64 HP and 75 ft. lbs. of torque. This was with Stage 1, SE backplate, K&N air cleaner, Power Commander V and SE slip-ons. BTW the AFR was 15.57.
New numbers are 86 HP and 96 ft. lbs. of torque with the AFR now at a richer 13.38.
On the ride home last night I had a great big grin on my face as it now runs and sounds like it should. The wife and I rode down to Tombstone lunch today and wow, no more down shifting on hills and she has power to spare. Just goes to show how choked out these machines are stock off the floor and even still after a Stage 1. I am also now a big fan of having it dyno tuned. I am sure that all of the canned maps out there are fine, but each bike is different and there is no substitute for a good dyno tune.
By the way my Ultra is a 2010 96 cubic inch.
