Question Suggestions for 2 up luggage rack - 07 FLHTC

Hello all, I was hoping to get some help on what I could do to mount a rack on my EGC utilizing the detachable tour pack hardware kit already on my bike (p/n 53303-07). So far it looks like HD wants me to purchase a separate detachable hardware kit to mount an upright with a luggage rack mounted to it... is that really my only option!?

I was thinking that if I could get my paws on the bracket used to mount the tour pak on, I could then mount a luggage rack to that... but so far I have had no luck finding just the bracket. Taking the bracket off my tour pak is not an option either. My budget for this is $250.

Thanks in advance for any help you'se can give to point me in the right direction!

If I understand you correctly, and you're saying you already have the mounting points for attaching a two-up quick-detach Tour-Pak bracket...

On our bikes, that would be the rear-most docking points that look like this:

Then you'll find that this rack (Harley P/N 53743-97, see below) mounts using the same mounting points your Tour-Pak does.Even though the picture below shows a sissy bar, the rack does not attach to the sissy bar in any way and can be used without one. The sissy bar is mounted to its own set of forward mounting points.

I've got a 2006 FLHX and I have that rack. It mounts to the same points my quick detach Tour-Pak does.

MSRP is $210 but they're all over eBay.

Yes, that looks like the hardware on my bike. As long as that rack and the tour pak can use the same docking hardware I'm golden. I swore I looked at that rack on the website yesterday and thought it required different hardware... maybe I just got cross-eyed from lookin' at all the damn part numbers, lol.

Thanks for the help!

I think you're good. See the chart below. Confirms the two-up Tour-Pak rack and the two-up luggage rack that I'm recommending use the same docking hardware.
