Default 07 Road King Custom wheels prob

just bought a 07 RK Custom and the chrome on the mag wheels is flaking off... anyone have an idea of a fix? Bike only has 17k miles but I think it sat outside for awhile.

thats what I figured... what do you think about getting those parts of the wheels polished instead?

I have set with 3000 on them. No flaking. Where are you?

I have the same problem but only with the front wheel. Chrome flaking off only in a few areas. The back wheel doesn't have this issue. I've heard it could be a manufacturer problem. Mine is always parked in the garage. I wish I caught this during my warranty.

I have an '07 with about 40K miles and no problems and the bike has been to the arctic circle with a very nasty corrosive substance sprayed on the dirt road up there. I keep checking and cleaning underneath the bike hoping no corrosion shows up. So far so good. I think you could just polish those wheels.

You could buy an 18" Airstrike front wheel, same style.
