Yeah, that happened to me too.

Where are you ordering from?

I ordered mine from Surdyke on-line, and when I copied and pasted the part number, it popped up the vivid black, and white denim I think. It was pretty easy to pick the right one from that point.

I believe it's the number without the letters for the black.

Don't forget to order both sides.
There's also a thread on here that has the part numbers for the harley speaker grills...

You want the "DH" DH has always been the standard letters for vivid black parts. In actuality, the non-DH part number is an obsolete number.

Yeah, that's right.

I just checked my packing slip.
I still had it in the garage...

Thanks man. I got both sides and grills ordered. Is there anything else I need to mount them?

to mount the grills you need 8 screws and 8 rubber washers.

I ordered them when I ordered in my grills, but I wouldn't suggest it to someone else.
I wanted to make sure they were mounted correctly, so I ordered the ones that came with the kit. When they came in, they were just 8 screws and 8 rubber washers. You'll clearly see where they go when your lids and grills arrive.

Anyway, they cost me a buck a piece. So, $16 for 8 screws and 8 washers. That was my only regret. I would suggest a hardware store. You'd probably save $15...

What speakers are you installing?

Thanks. I am still up in the air about the speaker. Carl said he could fit the Fosgate and I have seen the 5x7 focals. I have 6.5 focals in the fairing. I am going to run the saddlebag lids off the other 2 channels on the pbr300x4 amp

That's the same amp I just installed too. (like everyone else)
Great value, and works really well.

If it were me, I'd run the focals in the rear also, just to try to keep your speakers voice matched as much as possible.

I ended up running polks in the front and back.
I just couldn't beat the deal, and they sound really good for now.
Long term, I don't think they'll handle the power, but if I have to replace them in a year, that's fine with me. I just wanted to get the project done.

Right now I'm looking for a waterproof grill cloth to stick to the underside of my lid grills. They're just metal mesh. I was expecting something a little more similar to the stock fairing grills with the 1 way cloth...

Going to need the strike plates for the ears on the lids that hold the lid down. I believe there like $12 bucks apiece. I wouldnt take them off your old lids if you plan to sell them or keep them due to risk of paint pealing off with them or some unseen issue.
