As far as bumps are concerned, they're not great. A couple times yesterday, once over RR tracks, I actually got a little bit launched out of the seat. The tires are practically brand new as I mentioned earlier.

I never dealt with air shocks before. If I'm already getting jolted out of the seat would more air make this worse?

Let all the air out of them and try them, then put in 15 pounds. If you feel no difference replace them.

The wallow is probably caused by a combination of frame flex and the way the rear motor mount is designed on the older bikes (pre-'09). You can't get rid of the frame flex but you can help with the movement at the rear engine mount and swingarm by installing a stabilizer. There are several to choose from, but IMO Progressive makes the best for the money. It's called the Touring Link. I don't know how this would perform with the Sta-Bo bushings also installed.

I installed the RideStr8 about four years ago and it has helped with the wallowing in corners like you describe, but these devices won't get rid of all of it.

I was pretty sure that when I installed the Sta-bo bushings, they were serving the same purpose as the touring link.

Haven't had a chance to ride because my work schedule sucks, but I am going to experiment with different air pressures in the rear shocks. If I don't notice an appreciable difference doing that, I may consider doing the rear shock oil change that I have read about on here. Anyone have any thoughts about that procedure and the potential benefits of it? I'm really trying to stop spending money on this bike.

If spoke wheels check spokes. If its mentioned I did not read all threads word for word. Check brake rotor a floating rotor might be needed.

They are not spoke wheels. Can you explain what you mean by a floating rotor might be needed?
