Ohlins shocks, Racetech Springs, Ricor Intiminators modified by Fabrik8r.

What's wrong with a Touring bike handling like a touring bike?? I've got almost 60K miles on them since switching over in 08. Love the way my almost stock Touring bikes Handle. Each to their own though!!!!

Geoff,

It's a deadly serious thing, improving a dresser's ride quality and handling. It can be done and is well worth the effort!

I have a sport bike that handles like a sport bike. I want my Ultra to be comfortable and less twitchy than my Ninja. I will not be carving any corners two up with all the weekend luggage on the Ultra anyway.

The only way my glide could handle like a sport bike, would be if you cut off 500 pounds, and tripled the horsepower, that being said, I did all the mods and they are well worth it, especially the front end mod. It really does transform the ride...

I rode a WR Harley on a flat track with a springer front end and solid rear,no brakes and i thought it was great. Ride what you have and ride it hard. Know your limitations and your bikes limitations. Ride to arrive alive.

Nope, succeeding in making a touring bike something that it isn't SUPPOSED to be, which is an excellent handling bike. The trying and experimentation part is over.

For those that are happy with the stock touring bike ride and handling then great. This was only thrown out there for those that want a bike that handles like it should to begin with, confident, glued to the road, stable at all speeds and that you can carve the corners with safely and without the bike wallowing through the turn.

I also ride a Ninja Sportbike and now I have a Ninja Road King Touring bike !
