2008 FLTR
I just went from E3's to the Commander II's. Only have maybe 500 mile on them, but from what I can tell they are great.

2500 miles on these tires replacing Dunlop D407 and D408f on 2010 Fatboy Lo 107 kit with cams riding 2 up. Temps 90 to 100 on all these mile except for the 2 rain runs we had. Tires have less rolling resistance than stock along with improving fuel economy by 1-2 mpg consistently. Cornering is ROCK SOLID with better lean in and faster response on quick switchbacks! Dry/wet grip is better. Tar strips, rain grooves etc are no issue at all. Biggest improvment is durability!!! No signs of were or flattening out in the center on the rear after 2500 miles. I will NEVER go back to the Dunlops

I'm no tire guru, but I was astounded how bad the Dunlop 407 & 408 tires were one minute after the Metzler 880s went on. It's almost as if there is an inherent design flaw. Bike rode great with Dunlops, but that due to my having no frame of reference. In comparison, the Dunlops were marginal in every respect; I just attributed it to the characteristics of the FatBoy...NOT SO!!!

I started to roll the bike out of the garage after the tire change and noticed the difference right then. I check tire pressure all the time and never let the dunlops run on low pressure! The commander II tires have gave the bike a whole new personality all for the better, and they are showing no were after 2500 were the dunlops were flattened in the center by now... Performance in real hot conditions in heavy curves and hills are the same or better and in rain. I am SOLD lol (need to update my sig and pic)

I have just over 6k on my Commander II on the rear, and I can not see ANY wear at all on it.

Still running a dunlop on the front as it was new last year, and didn't want to waste it, I am sure it will get a commander after this season is over.
Hard to tell by the pic, but the groves are DEEP!

Any new tire is going to feel awesome compared to the worn out one you took off the bike. I'm not bad mouthing any particular tire but you can't compare new vs old.

I have 3000 on my Commander II now, I love it so far! Way better then the stock Dunlop. 3000 miles and no sign of wear. I feared that I may have less traction with the increased mileage tire and it seems to stick very well in the corners. I guess I agree with all the other comments, other then the road snakes. The tires made no difference when hitting them, 850 pounds is going to sink in hot tar no matter what tire you have on! Only thing that sucks is they don't make the matching front tire for the '11 and '12 Streetglides. I emailed them and received a response that at this time they have no intentions of making that size. Probably go with E3 when need new front. I would highly recommend this tire to anyone!

I got 14,000 miles out of my stock Dunlops, changed to Dunlop E3s and got 20,600 miles out of that set and still had safe tread left. The replacement E3s have 14,000 on them and show very little wear. Unless the Michelins get better than 20,000 miles, I see no reason to change.
