Anti-monkey butt powder
Ibuprofen
Not too many pairs of pants or shirts
Sheepskin to sit on
Cell phone charger
Navagation tools- gps, map, or cell phone
Leathers help fight weather and wind fatigue
Raingear
A few Quart size ziplock freezer bags. Sandwich bags work good, but not as tough as freezer bags to keep stuff from getting wet
A few tough garbage bags to keep clothes and stuff from getting wet.

First question I would ask is whether you plan on camping or staying in hotels? That will change a lot of things.

Raingear is a must. Get a cupholder that can hold a bottle of water that you can get to while riding. I've always needed headphones & music to stay sharp keep from getting highway-eyes,

Good luck and be safe.

I would go with what has bee posted but alot depends on if you are stayin in hotels and how much room do you have to pack stuff. Is it just you or a passenger?

Raingear is a must for a ride in that part of the country at this time of year.

We took our first road trip last year and the one thing I forgot until it was too late was sunscreen. After the first day (about 10 hours) I looked like a damned raccoon...... not to mention my nose was sore for two weeks.

You will get a lot of good advice and I will throw my two cents in. Wife and I take 2 1/2 days worth of clothes and use the washing machine at the hotel (most seem to have them) in the evening of the 2nd or 3rd day. She buys a detergent packet in the vending machine. Another person suggested bringing old crappy shirts and throw them away and replace with the new ones yul certainly buy on the trip. One last thing we also try to do. We have an idea of where we want to end up each day but always allow ourselves the freedom to stop sooner or go longer. Have to listen to the mind and body (wife rides her own bike so I get really worried about how she's doing and never want her to feel that she has to go further than she can. Thats when problems can happen) Have fun and let us know how it goes.

I know it's been said, but I'll echo the sun screen and anti-monkey butt powder.
