Magnum Cables - Anyone else have this happen? w/PICS
Well guys, ran into an issue yesterday with my Magnum Cables brake lines.
For the reference, I have a 2010 FLHXSE w/ABS. Installed 14 PYO MBB's this winter, along with Magnum Cables Chromite II lines, both uppers and lowers.
Anyway, after 1000+ miles on the bike post bar-install, I was out yesterday with my wife on a little tour around the Front Range.
Met up with a good friend of ours, and headed out. Noticed that my front brakes felt a little spongy, but I could pump them back up to get some pressure back. By the end of the day, I could barely do that. I was baffled, wondering where the hell all the pressure was going. Had a hard braking incident early on, though maybe my ABS pulsed and pushed out some air. I was wrong.
Came out this morning to re-bleed the brakes. Pulled of the dust cap on the clutch side caliper, and noticed some brake fluid. Not normal. Set about removing the clips that hold my ABS sensor line to the brake line, and noticed the entire lower line was filled with DOT4 brake fluid, between the braided steel and the clear cover, all bloated.
Calling Magnum tomorrow, and I'll get to replace the whole lower....
See the pictures! Anyone else have this happen?
Pic 1: Look closely, you can see the air bubble under the black cable clamp
Pic 2: Yeah, I can actually pinch the clear coating. It's full of DOT4.

Good luck! There's been some discussion in the Softail Section with some different Magnum Cable issues. You can read here: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...le-issues.html
