Default 2003 Ultra with mini luggage rack

ok so I have the Harley mini luggage rack on my 2003 Ultra P/N 53100-96
I would like to expand my storage and my options are limited because of the size of the rack. Is there any bags out there that would fit?

the holes in your lid are the exact same locations for the "premium tour pak rack" which will hold alot.

or the airwing rack, which has a nice LED run/brake light kit.

either of those give more bag options.

a big bag hanging over the sides of a small rack will result in scuffed up paint

I use the H-D "sac" roll bag on my tour pak- good size, secures well, waterproof

I use the big T bag on my pass seat, doubles as a back rest

Have a look at this thread, I am not sure if the mounting points are the same as the premium rack.

I think you're mistaken on the dimensions of the mini rack when compared to the Premium or Air Wing racks. The mini rack is located within the dimensions of the dropped contour of the top of the Tour Pak .. the two other racks are fastened out side of that area.

I had a Mini Rack on my 1986. I ended up getting a new tour pac top lid so I could use the Premium Rack.

Thanks for catching that- apologies .

I was looking at the install instructions for the mini rack which say the same template is used for the mini and premium- which is an error or I mis read.

Went with Kuryakyn luggage rack and it has nice tie down loops on the corners. filled the old holes with Harley Willie G license plate bolts.

Well, one thing I did once to fill holes from saddlebag lid rails i removed is to use the decorative license plate bolts (skull or bar & sheild) as hole plugs. I just put a small rubber washer underneath to prevent paint damage and leaks.

When all else fails, make it look like it was done on purpose.
