I do not have a tach but run the SE 255 where are these supposed to come in at, aren't they supposed to be 2300 or so and i know they fade early.....
So how does the SE 204 run in the 2011 103 stock heads etc.?
I like torque on the left side of things, so interested in this thread as I could see a cam swap next yr after 2 yr warranty is up.

Like a couple others who posted in this thread, I have 204's/1.72 rockers in an otherwise stock 103" with dresser duals.

Pretty sure I'm giving up some power with the exhaust, I'm considering going to a 2-1 header but I'll probably just leave it as is. It runs great, lots more responsive in the midrange. It feels stronger everywhere compared to the stock cam, although I do detect it falling off a tiny bit above 5k or so. The low speed manners are very good for a cam of it's size so I'm happy with the compromise. Anything bigger and I'd expect light throttle cruising to be less enjoyable.

+2 here. Stock compression is near perfect for the 204.

I have the 555s and I believe the top end has less noise than it did stock. As far as strong from 2750-6000 RPMs, hell yeah, loads of torque. It's a good stepping stone if you are deciding on going further, I have since done the FM 107" and still have stock heads, it is a beast from idle to top end, I'm looking forward to fall when the headwork gets done.
