Default ZUMO 665 Installed with Issues

I installed the Zumo 665 /XM Antenna, new unit with all the wires needed from my dealer. Everything works fine Am,FM,GPS except for the XM Radio it only plays on the left side speakers.
Now here's the kicker I turn on the GPS and select a location it goes into nav mode it say take turn to highlited route in all 4 speakers the XM Radio comes on and for about 1-2 seconds all 4 speakers play the XM then it switches to just the left side.
I know the had an issue with the NIM and I made sure I purchased the NIM after OCT 2011.
Let me know your thoughts on this issue.
Thanks,
Russell

I have Road Tech Zumo 665 fairing mounted, no NIM, I use the "Aux" feature for GPS, XM, and mp3 files. It works well for me (for right now, I haven't road tested it). If I want to hear a CD or radio, I just switch modes.

If I am not mistaken you need the NIM for the GPS and XM for the Zumo 665.

Check your wire into the AUX plug. Might not be all the way in either at the radio or the other end at the cable from the Zimo cable. The directions go through the NIM and XM and MP3s go through the cable in the AUX jack on the radio.

Like stated above, with the NIM, the radio switches to announce "turn-by-turn" announcements if the radio is set to any mode other than "Aux". I didn't want to pay more for that feature and just leave it on "Aux" and it announces the turns and plays mp3's and XM. It's up to the user to decide if the interface is worth the cost, for me, it wasn't. YMMV.

The NIM only works with the HD-badged Road Tech zumo - it will NOT work with the standard 665 - there's another current thread on similar issue: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...umo-665-a.html

With the standard 665, you will need to route the gps audio out to the AUX input of your radio, and your radio will need to be tuned to AUX. Because of that, you will not be able to listen to AM/FM/CD and hear turn-by-turn gps instructions.
