That's a lot to pay for 100 ccs, but you do get the coveted and much sought-after "Screamin' Eagle 110'' medallions on those new jugs.

I'm not sure on a stock 103" but I know on my last build (stock 96") the biggest top end I could go with was 107" - without getting into the bottem end, splitting/boring the cases etc... I memory serves me right it gets into quite a bit more money at this point so that's where I stopped!

The engine cases have to be bored to accept those cylinders so the labor starts to get kinda high. A 107" big bore would make more sense. If a guy is gonna take the motor out and bore the cases then the crank needs to be taken care of and I would go a minimum of 113" and probably 117" as it really isn't any more money. A 110" at the dealer as stated will be well in excess of 2k and most likely disappointing. If you do a little looking on here you may find a couple of sponsors that can supply you with the needed parts and the install support to do a 107" that will car kill the 110" dealer set up for a lot less money.

So you could keep your Harley as is and about have the money for a bike built to go fast, stop fast and handle.
'cause once the motor is built ( and reliability and mpg reduced) you next get to deal with beefing up the rest of the drivetrain and swingarm and chassis and brakes and suspension etc.
it's a slippery slope!
I've seen a few Pals slide down that slope, eventually selling their bike and starting over.

107 would be a better choice and as previously stated will out perform dealer installed 110 and no case boring. I have had two 107's both HQs kits -- had to upgrade the clutch, exhaust and get the bike tuned -- mileage is just as good as stock, performance wise the bike is a blast to ride. Once you start building motors you will almost always want more.
