How much does it cost to go from 103 to 110

I found a better option ( I think anyway)
I wanted to do the same thing to my 2011 Ultra Limited. Then realized I was going to have to split the case and all the trouble that goes along with having it machined to fit the new 110 jugs. Instead, I did a Stage IV upgrade. Pretty much right out of the SE catalog. The only difference is that I have a FulSac header pipe and used the TTS MasterTune that I had from my Stage I upgrade. The performance is unbelievable. I am at 118 HP and 116 torque. I have the dyno sheet to support those numbers and will add it to my signature soon. The cost is less too. Because I had already done the Stage I and had the header pipe, Rinehart 4" slip ons and the TTS MasterTune, I was a little under $3k including labor at the dealership. I did have a discount on the price because of a special they were running. Anyway, I am more than pleased with the upgrade. The power is unbelievable and the sound is great. The numbers are better than 110 numbers I have seen.

No, you would be unbelievably fortunate to get much over 1750. I have been following the sales of these take outs and since the release of the 120r the prices of take outs has plummeted. There was one that sold for 1200 on this forum and one that a guy just gave up on selling for 1950 that he was giving $150 towards shipping and throwing in a power commander, no takers.

Ok so out of pocket expense would be around $4000. I think buying a complete motor is the way to go, but at the price I will have to wait. Thanks for the input.

I don't have either of those motors, I have a 110". But if I were in your position, I'd go with the 120R and either keep the 103 or sell it to help defray the costs.
If you're going to have your motor built, I'd also suggest traveling to a "good" independant vs. having a dealership do it.
Just my .02 worth.

You mention waiting on the $$. Something you might want to consider.....riding season is around the corner and you're going to wait anyway. Go ahead and advertise your motor now (craigslist, ebay, etc.) with your asking price.
You're not in a position where you have to give it away so you can just sit on it for awhile.......and if you get lucky....... It is easier to sell a motor that somebody can hear and see running than one sitting on the shelf.

Exactly!!! This is one I have looked at hard, then went with the most Tq. possible and if u want more bottom end, stump puller torque then look at the SE 255's and a tuner, intake and exhaust. It becomes a different bike when tuned right!! I love the ability to smoke the tire at will..
