Thinking about getting one of these HD Detach Solo Racks (HD# 54213-09) for my 2010 FLHP Police Bike... For when I want the solo look. I have the "Mother" fender rack, but due to the change in the seat pan cover and how the Mother rack is designed, I will have to figure out some clean mod, and I want something now, it's the Varuca in me, sorry.

In the meantime I came across HD's solo rack, and I have the 4pt docking hardware, just curious if anyone has seen, used, tried, bought, sold, this?

Looking for some opinions on THIS rack, not whether I should have a rack or not. And yes, I do like Racks, but we are talking about the kind that go on your bike and carry luggage.

Thanks for any input, if anyone has pictures they would care to share of THIS rack on their Road King, that would be just peachy.

Or if you have a better suggestion, I am of course all unbiased ears.

I have yet to actually load anything on this rack however I did a mod this winter that uses the passenger backrest as a rider backrest.



With this setup it would be possible to use the luggage that slides over the backrest. More details here:

Seeing the rack on your bike with the various angles, I must say it looks nice. And your bike looks great too!
