Default SG saddle bag gaurds

What do you guys think of adding saddle bag gaurds to a SG? Will I lose that SG look buy adding the bars and leather bottle holder and pouch? A buddy of mine thinks it a must have for long rides and I think it takes away from the lines of the bike. Whats your take on the gaurds yes or no? Oh and to be specific its only the front gaurd not the wrap around saddle bag one.

I think its entirely up to you. Personally I dont like the look but its your scoot and your taste that matters.

I've added them and removed them from my wish list several times. Right now they are off the list. Personally, I don't like the looks on the SG, but I would never run the water bottle pouch, just my opinion on the look. I can stop and get a drink, I don't need to reach back for my water bottle .... But, your buddy thinks ... what do you think? You said you think it takes away from the lines of your bike, I believe you may have already answered your question.

Looked fine, to you! The rest of us were laughing when you weren't looking, hahaha! Just curious, do you scrape your bags a lot?

Isnt whats important is what You think of them? I dont worry about what others think of my bike until they start paying for it. The very best part about a HD is that each bike is personalized (or can be) by its owner. Being concerned what others think takes away from that quite a bit I think. If ya like em put em on there, I wont be mad at ya! Just my $.02

great for when the douche on his brand new bike ( and no license) tries to squeeze in next to you.

he'll hit the guards instead of your paint

Here's stripped EG Classic

I'm getting ready to take mine off my '09 Ultra.
Bought the bracket set to take their place, just need time to do the tear down and install.
Will most likely sell the take offs.
Never been dumped!

Go with the low profile ones. They look better, easier on your passengers and do the same job. I have them on my SG for bag protection.
