Do some minimal things to the bikes for cooler running and an uptick in performance. I do big miles every year and plan for my biggest year yet.

Once every five years I tow to a Rally to have a nice base camp. Yahoo! This is the year. Anyone that does not like that go pound sand.

Put 18,000 on my 6 Harley's and one Buell last season which was a short one with a very cold and wet spring into early summer. This year with the better weather I should top 20K.

I have several 8 to 9 hundred miles single day rides each year. Last year was my first 1,000 mile one day ride on the way to Sturgis. Went from Illinois to Sturgis by way of Canada just to do it different.

I have been riding since 1954. I even have over 50,000 miles on a bicycle which is more than twice around the equator.

wish I had known apes weren't any good for long rides before I rode from Columbus GA to Colorado Springs last June. Road Glide is getting some too

Which one are you?

As soft 02 previously asked, do ya really think people will fess up?
I read the topics daily and have no trouble telling the yuppies from the bikers. Many times just from the topic...........

Now to answer directly,
I am a hick who grew up on mini bikes and dirt bikes.
I ride EVERY chance I get, and could really give 2 ***** less about what people think.

I have been building Harley's since the 70's.
At 50 I'm still a kid and run 8k in under 30 minutes.
With my life style I still prefer my Harley's FAST and Lean.
This is my current ride, very fast FXDX, she does everything perfectly.
