The Monster Ovals on my '03 sold two others at work for their new '11 & '12 rides this last fall. They are not as loud or cackle as hard on the 'Cat' bikes but they still sound off on hard accel and mellow enough for long ride durations. Everyone I ride with that has or had them loved them with many that switched going back to them.

 

Go to YouTube, type in Vance & Hines High Output Slip-Ons, put on some headphones or earbuds, and listen to them on that orange StreetGlide. Exactly what mine sound like (103 Limited Ultra w/V&H Power Duals) --- AMAZING, and nobody has a problem riding behind me. Just my opinion. I heard Monster Ovals & didn't like them at all for me, but alot of guys here DO like them. High Outputs had just the sound I wanted, but maybe not what YOU want.

 

Then, I don't think they are monster ovals or something is wrong in the setup. I just had the monster ovals put on and they are anything but tinny.

They have deep low sound to them and they are plenty load enough for me, though it may have something to do with changing out the head pipe and installing CAMS at the same time as well. They are also louder than the screaming eagles. My cents.
