Anyone have the part number for an OEM battery for an '09 Ultra Classic? I'm not much into aftermarket parts and accessories. Recon Lakeside H-D has a better price? I guess batteries can be shipped huh?

 

It's amazing how much those little batteries are compared to a truck battery.

You make me feel much better - we got an UC battery today for $170 (at HD dealer) - now it doesn't seem quite so bad!

 

The Deka ETX30L is the battery Harley puts their label on.It can be purchased new on ebay for $89.00 shipped.

 

I don't doubt that, but I wonder if Harley doesnt require Deka to say it doesnt meet specs?

Walmart has the AGM battery that fits the HD for about $87. It is made for Wally by Yusas and is a good battery. With tender I have gotten 9 years out of one before I sold the bike.

The HD battery is going bad in my 07 FXSTC ( early 06 build) I have a new one from Walmart to install.

Don't know off hand the full number but it is the 20 series battery.

Just a side comment. Who in the heck would need a dealer to install?

I just do not think of HD as a source for oil, batteries, tires or many other components. I think it is ridiculous to go to a HD dealer for a price then come here and complain. Who does not know they are the highest priced source for any component? Is it some kind of weird bragging that some can pay too much for something?

That is why I can't go to an auction. I just can't rap my head around being the one that is willing to pay the highest price. I
