Default What is the best way to air up the rear tire on a Ultra with laced wheels?

I'm going on 61 years old and I feel like I have been wrestling a bear when I get through checking the air pressure and adding air to my 2010 ultra's rear tire. (laced wheels)

There has to be a better way.

on my FLHRC with laced wheels i use the EZgage $11

http://www.amazon.com/G-H-Meiser-EZ-.../dp/B001CJHU9W

you clip it to the shrader valve and add air neer the gage . very accurate .

comes with a lifetime replacement garentee. save the package.

I bought three to get the free shipping and gave two as christmas gift gifts .

I'm only 52 and I feel your pain. I've been putting my bike up on the lift table so that I don't have to lay on the floor. There just isn't a lot of room between those spokes (but damn they look nice!)

Ok, I stopped by my local HD Dealer today and bought a "Valve Stem Extension". I'll give it a try tomorrow.

Nice products mentioned above, but you still have to get down on your belly like a reptile to connect it to the schrader valve. I don't see any advantage. I'm 65 and still lay down next to the rear wheel to connect. If it's nice weather, you can lay on a rug and take a nap. At 65 naps are good.
