Default bummed on my order

I was all amped up on getting my bags and fender today from Bad Dad. Several months of communicating back and forth with Jacob and also provided measurements for cut outs. Went to mock it all up and this is what resulted...huge gaps on the outside of the exhaust and too little on the inside where the fender is supposed to go...this is on an 11 Street glide and not much wiggle room for attachment points/adjustments as they are pretty specific.

I read somewhere in another thread about the same kind of issue, he ended up loosening up the exhaust system, then slotting the rear hangers to allow the pipes to move out, once they were centered he tightened everything back up. If I can find the post I'll re-post the link.

Ya I had the same issue with my bags. You should be able to loosen the hangers and clamps then adjust the muffler till the spacing is equal. Good luck.

It wouldn't be custom if it bolted right together.

Dude! You are not supposed to be cruising around the inter-webs chattin' with everybody! You need to be out in the garage wrenchin and paintin on that sweet-a$$ project of yours! Get to work, you have fans waiting!!!!!!

Either that or get down there and see that grandbaby! Congrats, btw!

Default Sorry to the OP....

For the OP, sorry about the highjack, but have you seen Batmans project???? lol

To your problem, you should be able to get some wiggle room after loosining it up a bit as other posters said. Possibly a "custom" bracket/plate on the bag bracket to move the exhaust over a touch. Good luck!

Ill try to loosen the exhaust and try to "spread eagle" the pipes apart and see what happens. As of now and had to walk away from the bike to clear my head. the exhaust is Vance & Hines Hi-Outputs by the way. They advertise a 4.5" diameter but is is actually slightly smaller diameter
