Andrews 54H...happy boy
Have had my 103" Street Glide for over a year now, but the stock OEM cam setup just always left me feeling like there was more to the bike & it was just being bottled up, even with the Stage 2 Intake & V&H Big Radius pipes.
So after some research, I decided on the Andrews 54H cam set, since it was specifically spec'd for the 103" kit with the 10:1 pistons.
Well, got them in this week and tuned today.
84 HP and 98 Ft-Lbs to the pavement. Damn, was hoping to squeak out that 100 Ft-Lbs, but maybe can tweak it some more later.
But gotta say, I love it!
Sure, it's no "Dyno-Queen" drag race level power numbers, but the 90+ Ft-Lbs power comes on by 2600 and holds all the way up passed 5200 rpm.
So it's got instant response and power through out the whole REAL WORLD range.
Hell, cruising at 70 in 6th speed.....sitting at about 2400 RPM, and even there it was instant acceleration the moment I twisted the throttle.
So my research was dead on, and it's EXACTLY what I was looking for.
Totally dig it.
Now to just find a way to squeeze 2 more Ft-Lbs out.

I'm glad you're happy with the performance increase, anything is better than stock. But I can't help but say you're definitely leaving something significant on the table. I'm sure your exhaust is part of it, but I doubt it's the only thing holding you back. Do you have confidence in your dyno-tuner? What fuel management system are you using with this set-up?

Gruamach, just in case you aren't aware, a stock 103 does not have 10:1 static compression. Your cold cranking compression in a stock 103 with those cams is about 180 at sea level if you're lucky. Thats going to make it feel lazy in the lower rpm band. If you give the 54's what they want, you should be able to break 110 TQ and 100 HP no problem.

Like everyone else said your exhaust is likely holding you back a bit.
For reference, my 2010 Ultra, 103" with just 54H cams, ac & exhaust just dynoed at 94hp, 105Tq. If I bumped the compression up a bit I might squeeze a bit more out of it but at this point I don't think it's worth the $.
The base run with just the V-Tuning I had done on it using TTS did 86hp, 97TQ.
For reference, my 2010 Ultra, 103" with just 54H cams, ac & exhaust just dynoed at 94hp, 105Tq. If I bumped the compression up a bit I might squeeze a bit more out of it but at this point I don't think it's worth the $.

I don't personally know the guy, but it's who two of the three local dealerships have tune bikes for them.
I might have someone else look at it or at least get me a good AFR test, as I've heard that the guy who did my tune tends to go a bit overly-rich "to be safe". But he said he got both cylinders dialed in to as close to 13.5:1 AFR as he could.
I have the PC-V to tune it.
And I know a good 2-1 exhaust would probably do the trick for a couple extra ponies/pounds, but I like the Big Radius too much to give it up. Not worth just a couple ticks. Would rather do things like a port/polish.
