This reminds me of the time last summer some ******* blocked me in at the boat launch with his boat trailer just to park his truck in the shade when the parking lot was empty save for our trucks and one other. He must have had a small boat, because I was able to pick up the trailer by hand and jack knife it so bad that he would have had to unhook it from his truck to back out of that spot when he got back. No damage, but I'm sure he got the point I was trying to make.

 

same here... I also position the bike diagonally in the spot.

 

I would have pushed it over then pushed it out of the way and off I would have went.

Same here, ever seen a teenager whip into a parking spot barely paying attention? If it is in the back of the spot they will see it right away and no one can block you. Simple.

 

I used to have some fake tickets that said " I hope you Screw, better than you Park". So first the guy thinks he got a ticket, and then Zing! Insult his manhood. I gotta get some more of those.

What if he grabed an empty spot that was besides you while you were loosing your cash. Some guy in a car desides 1 1/2 bikes in one spot, my car in the other. Not that I have ever done that. Just sayin he might not be the dick that you think. If you thought or did pick it up and move, so could some one else. Just move it and be on your way.

If alone I park near the opening of the space off to the side (allowing room for the passenger door of the car in the next space). Bike facing up hill if it matters. My bike can be seen easier and more bikes (2-3 maybe more) can share the space with me.

In your situation I would have backed around the other bike.
