Default Do heads with 107" upgrade?

Ok guys I'm gonna do the 107 kit but curious how much added performance the heads would add. I know its all apart and I should probably do it but I don't want to spend a grand for 4hp. Is the HP/dollar worth the investment?

Reliability is key.

Thanks!
Joe

I had the 107 installed from fuel moto and did have the heads ported and polished--- was it worth it --- yes if I hadn't had it done I would have always wondered what I was missing--- it's not cheap making hp with a Harley and my opinion it's 1,000 well spent.

Look up dan vance racing. He does great headwork. And much less than 1000 dollars.
I am getting my heads done. With a 106 there is a larger volume of air and the motor will benefit.
Stock heads already flow really well. There is good velocity right up to the 103 however bigger than 103 it begins to choke it at higher rpm.
Think about either a 58mm throttle body or get your stocker ported. Once the heads are able to flow more air the next restriction in the line is the tb.
stock Injectors are also right on their max duty rating once you get to the 106/107 range.
And a dyno tune

I just did a 107, and doing the heads wasn't even a second thought, if nothing else go to Fuel Motos web page and look at the difference heads can make.

Dan Vance Racing! This guy KNOWS heads!! He did a set on a 95" build I had. Was making 78 h.p. and his heads put it a little over 100/107. He did the 110 heads on my 117" and look at the numbers it is making! It is most def worth doing the heads if you want to make power! Danvanceracing.com.

Nothing scientific, but the rule of thumb is having your heads done will add 10+ HP and torque. The price can vary depending on where you get them done.

Do it... Don't waste another min. thinking about it. You will always wonder what if.

In Feb I drove over a 1,000 miles to have Fuel Moto do 107 kit. Heads were done... very happy with numbers and never have to wonder what if.

Well that settles it. I'm doing the heads. ow I just need to find out who to send them to. Asking what head guy is the best is like asking which cam is the best

I will definitely check out the suggestions.

I would say that it depends how you ride.I had a set of HQ heads on my 103" 09 EGS, pulled them off when I sold it and replaced the stock heads. Below 4k there wasnt much difference, extra power was only noticeable when winding it up over 4 grand. Unless you are winding it out regularly, I dont think its worth it, those extra horses only show their heads at higher rpm, your choice though.
