I hope that the good memories soon replace the pain from your recent loss.
LowCountry Joe offered some great advice, you have waited this long so there is no need to rush things now.
...and as far as being 74, just remember, age is a matter of the mind, if you don't mind, it don't matter.

Thanks Joe. My HD riding son has already sent my 21 and 23 yr old grandsons to safety classes and when they get out of college and get their bikes there will be 3 generations of us roaming around South Texas. And if the Electra gets too heavy for an old man I'll either convert it to a trike or get a new trike. Depending on mileage, wear, tear, etc. Talking about me now, not the bike.

One of my friends said when I showed him the photo of my new toy "you're gonna break your old neck yet." He was joking (I think) but I told him I'd rather go hugging pavement than the floor in an old folks home. And appropriately enough one of my older Facebook friends posted the below with 30 minutes or so before I left to go bike shopping.

Congratulations on the new Electra Glide Classic. I bought a 2011 back in October. They are a great motorcycle. I like the fact that they don't have all the stuff that an Ultra has - that way you can add what you want and you don't have to pay for what you didn't want (lower fairings and C.B. Radio, passenger communications, in my case).
Have fun with it.
