A very big thank you for taking the time to do such an in depth write up on this procedure. Your narative and photos are superb and have provided much insight into this job of changing bars. Hopefully this will encourage more folks to jump into themselves. Very well done.l

I did my own WO577 bars a few weeks ago. Was changing to a painted inner fairing as well so I had to take it all off so to speak. anyway, for those that are not skilled at soldering or don't wish to take the time to splice and solder each stinkin wire. (I think there was about 16 wires on each side) you can buy the NAMZ kit to extend the wires. All are color coded like the factory ones. Saves a poopload of time and mess. They simply plug into the stock wires and you slip a chunk of supplied heatshrink over the joint.

Excellent job Murph......

How do these feel? If I remember correctly you had taller bars on your old Road King?

Actually, I had 14s on the RKC also.. However, I think these are taller. Maybe because they are bagger bars. They feel taller anyways. I love em.

Ah gotcha, don't know why I thought you had 16" bars on the King, looks great and excellent write-up.
