Question Harbor Freight High Position Lift

I am trying to decide between the

Harbor Freight High Position Lift
http://www.harborfreight.com/high-po...ift-99887.html

and their

1000 Lb. Capacity Motorcycle Lift Table
http://www.harborfreight.com/1000-lb...ift-68892.html

I am swaying towards the high position lift because I would not need an additional jack for wheel changes. I currently have a sears craftsman motorcycle jack and just want something to get the bike up higher for servicing.

Any feedback on one vs the other would be great!

Thanks,

Scott

Go with the table lift... a table is always best.

I have the HF hi position lift at my pad. It works great. If I had space for a table lift I would have gotten one.

That would be a "DITO" from me. I need my garage for other things I do after I pull the bike out. It only goes on the lift a couple of times in a year maybe and I like working out in the driveway when it is nice out. It stores nicely stadleing my tool box wheels and under the extension shelf on the end. Use a 20% off coupon.

The lift table is by far the best way to go. I have used both and think the table is without a doubt the way to go. Just put a HFwheel chock on it, the one that comes with it is crap.

I got the lift....check almost ANY motorcycle mag and there is a coupon for the list at $299. Currently the hydryloic (I can't spell very well) lift doesn't work (user error when my son and I were moving it.....broke the support arm)...will be an easy fix to get it welded. So I would definitely will be getting another one.

As with anything else, there is one thing I would change....which is the wheel chock, but that's just me. I say if you have room, go for the table lift.

I had the high lift and just couldn't control the down cycle very well. It released too quickly on mine and cost me $550 for a new tank. I sold it and ordered a table lift. If you get the high lift, be very careful when you relese it to let it down. If you open it too much it will jump 6" at one time and allow the bike to flip into the main upright and destroy the tank.

Default Jack with lift

Table is the way to go and if ya ned to do a tire just use your existing jack, on the new table.

Table gives you good access to both sides, a place to lay down tools, catch basins, etc. I use black jack lift under bike to remove wheels etc.

As for room in a small garage, my HF lift goes on it's side against the wall when I am not using it. The High lift would actually take up more room.

I've been looking at both for some time now. The week I went in to buy the table it shot back up to $499. As a result I am still looking. After reading about the $299 coupon I think there is no better deal out there...for me anyway. I'm going with the table.
