Default Of all the bonehead effin' things to do!!!!!

Had my saddlebag off this morning. Set it up on my work stool. Went back over to the bike. And next thing I know I hear a noise I didn't want to hear. Yup you can guess where this is going. Down went the saddlebag lid first on to the concrete floor. Hit on the lid and rolled over. Lid is majorly scuffed up. Back corner has a nice scrape and the side has a few pretty little scratches. Can't really be pissed because it is my own stupidity. As **** as I am you would figure I would be more careful. But nooooooo.

I take that back. I am hot!!!!!

Default That Sucks

Yeah - that sucks! Time to get out a bottle of polish, get to rubbin and hope for the best. Chips would have to be filled in with touch up, but, if you're that **** about it a total repaint would be the only alternative. Try to get past it asap, reinstall it and get back to riding. Doing 80 down the parkway, nobody will be able to tell the difference!

Been there, done that! One of mine fell off my work bench a couple years ago.
Sorry about that...those scuffs may come out with some super fine wet sanding and buffing. Or at least lighten them up.
If that doesn't work, may just need to be re-clear coated.

The only thing that may come out is the scratches on the side. Everything else is down to the plastic. Little bits of concrete embedded in the lid. Grrrrrr!!!! Yeah I am thinking a total repaint is the only way to go. Prolly gonna throw some lid covers on for now. Which will cover the worst part anyway.

Wow I hate that for you man.
Almost had the same thing happen to me.

To be honest I was expecting alot more damage than you have.
Looks like some of the scratches will come out with a little buffing.

I would have to do a repaint.
That paint is too awesome to have it scratched up.
Some of the mistakes we make sure can be expensive.

Scratches aren't bad. It is the gouges. The metal flake makes it hard for them to show up in pics. But they are pretty bad.

Or.... now that you have got that first big ding out of the way, you can move forward and focus on enjoying the ride instead of worrying about keeping the paint perfect. First bath I fouled my fairing with a brillo pad hiding in the wash rag, so I can empathize.
