Axle, spacers, bearings, maybe more or less. I did it on my 06 and it wasn't too bad. I changed the axle out to a newer 25mm one, used the 2011 bearings, and made up some custom spacers. The stock 06 rotors bolt up to the new wheel. I posted a "how to" that you could search for if you needed more info...

if your intrested I have a sock set of 09 wheels off my street glide ..near perfect.. low miles... frt tire has about 100 miles on it..I had the dealer swap it out due to tire issues under warrenty... rear tire has maybe 6k miles on it... still in good shape.. I only have the wheels & tires..I reused my pulley & rotors... wheels have bearing in them.. abs.. but that wont affect you or if you want a good time to replace bearings... let me know if your intrested...

You need a 10-12 SG 18" frt wheel with non ABS bearings, or change out the left bearing on an ABS wheel to non ABS bearing, also need 08-12 25mm axle & 2 non ABS spacers, both non ABS spacers are the same. The lower legs are the same from 00-12 so you just need the same wheel, axle, & spacers from a late model bike with the 25mm set-up. Rear wheel will not fit.

Doesn't the op have to use his rotors if he is not changing his brakes to the new style?

Yes. From what I understand, the new rotors are slightly larger in diameter and will not work with the 06 calipers.
