Default Night rider xieds, vieds oil temp results???

I have been reading up on night riders vieds xieds and want to know from people who have used them and have an oil temp gauge how using effects your oil temps especially any one with tc 96 motor. My bike is a 2007 road king. Thanks

I used them until I installed a PC-V. I still carry them in my saddle bag in case I have to disconnect the PC-V. I loved them and noticed an immediate reduction on temps.

on my 07 they were an improvement but... not enough still got too hot and then the dreaded ping would start.that was xied.pcv and much better no ping and much cooler.

I didn't measure temps before/after.

You could ask Steve Mullen ( Nightrider) he is a straight shooter, and I'm sure he would be able to give you the results of his testing.

I went with xieds to overcome a ping problem ( in completely stock trim), after which I was able to complete the stage 1 with good result.
The operating temps were not my prime concern

hotter it gets the more likely it is to ping, mine sounded like a diesel when hot in stock form, with the xied it just took a little longer to get hot and ping.

I ran xied's for over a year on my 09 flstc. have a dipstick with temp gauge. Noticed a 15 to 20 decrease in temp. Stopped almost all the decell pop. Seemed to have a little more get up an go. Have since moved on to a Dobeck gen 3.
