guys with 2 channel 2 ohm amps love the polk mm, the amps give about 50% more power than they give a 4 ohm speaker.

A couple of pluses for me on the Polks were that they were marine grade and also 100w RMS and 200w Peak with a good sensitivity of 94db. I'm hoping they'll hold up better than what I've had. I've heard the rockers driven by the same amp as mine but have never owned them so I'll keep my comments to myself.

I have Polk audio components in my boat. Love them. I'll be putting them on the bike next.

Swapped out the Hertz with the Polks. First I couldn't really tell the difference until I put the Hertz on the left side and the Polk on the right. Hertz wins. I will say that the Polks are a very very nice speaker. But for the clarity, the Hertz win hands down.
I would say for a little over $100.00 can't go wrong with Polk. If you add another $100.00 the Hertz are better. With either set paired up with a Rockford Fosgate amp, you will be very very happy!

I like the J&M's. 100% water proof, they back there speakers up if you blow them for what ever reason too. Why do i like them u ask???, they play load so u can here them at 80 + MPH. that is with a RC125.2 mini amp. u gota have a amp or you are missing out. Ive run hogtunes, eclipse ,polk DXI 650, kicker ks 6.5 components and then the J&M. I dint want to spend the money and ended up spending more in the long run. Now im gona change out my J&M 7.25 for the ROKKER 7.25 and lower fairing J&M ROKKER 7.25 and a alpine PDX F4 amp and alpine head unit,Im hoping it will blow away my old system. I would like to hear how thoes polk mm651 sound. The polk mm651 would be my next choice.

oh and u will not hear bass at 80+ MPH. Main factor is, u need to be able to hear your tunes at highway speeds ,not while parked. Did you bye the bike to ride it or look at...MY 2 cents..

A friend of a friend of my 2nd cousin knows a guy who says Focal are the best. But I don't know that, I've only had the J&Ms. I now have a set of Focal 165 VB component speakers but still don't have everything I need to install them. I'll let you know when I find out.

Just ordered the MM651s and some speaker adapters last night. I'll be posting up a review comparing them to the 5.25" Hogtunes sometime in the next couple weeks...

That's kind of my take on it too. Parked in a lot with the accessory switch on, you can really tell the subtle differences of speakers. Going down the road at 65+mph, tire/road/wind/exhaust noise basically drowned out any high fidelity aspects. The key is just to clearly hear the music at speed...

Can't comment on the brands you've mentioned, but I can say this. I'm just now fininshing an install of PBR300X4 on the stock head unit feeding JL Audio speakers (C2-650 in the fairing, C2-525 in the tourpack speaker pods). Added the Boom Bass Ports into the tourpack. Even with the fairing off, it sounds really good, and kind of funny that the pod speakers are louder than the fronts. Finished adding Dynamat to the fairing last night and hope to get it reinstalled tonight.

Between the added wiring for the amp and installing an OnTheMove Ipod adapter, I don't think I can stuff another wire into the fairing area...
