Unhappy cruse control trouble

I have an 02 roadking, I just changed the grips and now my cruse control doesn't work. The brake light switch works fine. Anyone have any ideas?

You probably pinched a wire when you reassembled the top cover on the housing.

or cracked the brake sensor switch. Did you stuck something under the brake lever to keep it slightly closed before disassembling the grip?

Check to see if your brake light is on all the time. If yes, there is a small switch that got broken under the brake lever.

Another common mistake if your brake switch is not broken is that most people do not adjust their throttle cables correctly. If the there is too little or too much free play you cruise will not work either
